The Customer-Facing Digital Tools award recognizes Hand & Stone’s Unified Digital Guest Journey – a system-wide initiative that redesigned how guests discover, book and re-engage with the brand as one connected system, rather than a collection of individual fixes.

The initiative consolidated hundreds of individual location microsites into a single unified website, strengthening SEO authority and standardizing the guest experience from the first search onward. A completely overhauled booking flow – integrated with existing franchise technology infrastructure – guides guests through service selection, enhancements and scheduling in a way that naturally increases upgrades and completed bookings. A centralized CRM investment layered in personalized, behavior-driven email engagement to keep guests coming back, without adding operational burden at the local level.

Since launching the redesigned booking experience in July 2025:

  • 25% increase in revenue per user entering the booking flow
  • 15% increase in revenue per booking
  • 9% higher booking conversion rate
  • 16% lift in digital appointment sales from personalized email campaigns
  • Organic search traffic grew +241% YOY in July 2025 and +339% YOY in November 2025
  • Monthly website traffic reached as high as +190% year-over-year in November 2025

Modernizing Hiring Across the System

The Employee Recruiting award recognizes Hand & Stone’s integration of conversational AI and automation into its recruitment platforms – a critical advancement for a brand where every open massage therapist or esthetician position directly limits booking capacity and revenue.

Historically, the average time to contact candidates was six days, with time to hire exceeding 26 days. By integrating automated pre-screening and real time interview scheduling, candidates now move from application to schedule interview in almost real time.
