Led by family man and seasoned franchisee Bob Crowley, the spa is located just 10 miles from his Hand & Stone in Solon and marks his second opening, reflecting the brand’s continued expansion across the Cleveland area.
Hand & Stone Macedonia location holds special meaning for Bob and his family, as they celebrated his 60th birthday on the day of the spa’s opening. Alongside his wife of 36 years, Theresa, and their son Jake, the General Manager who welcomed his daughter Piper during opening week, the Crowley family is deeply involved in day-to-day operations, committed to providing an elevated guest experience while making wellness accessible for the local community.
“We take a very hands-on approach. We pride ourselves on ‘over the top’ guest service and an equal passion toward our employee experience and workplace culture. Member and employee retention are two metrics we obsess over!” said Bob.
With nearly 40 years of experience in restaurant and hospitality leadership and as the owner of another local Hand & Stone location, Bob Crowley brings an understanding of how to build strong teams and cultivate loyal guests through member satisfaction. Prior to joining Hand & Stone, he spent 12 years as a Corporate Director for Dunkin’ brands before leaving to pursue his dreams of becoming a business owner. Bob believes his time at Dunkin’ gave him invaluable insight into the world of franchising, including learning from hundreds of successful franchisees and gaining perspective on building effective relationships. Through these relationships built at Dunkin’, Bob was even able to bring Dhrumil and Tapan Patel on as financial partners, a sibling power team who were brought into the Dunkin’ system as franchisees by Bob in 2014.
Bob and his family were excited to open in a prime location so close to their Solon spa, and plan to utilize the staff and leadership from the first location to replicate the success they have established there. Hand & Stone Macedonia offers current Solon members a convenient option for a “second home spa.”
