For 28 years, I served as a nursing home administrator, dedicated to helping others. When COVID-19 hit, my husband Carlos, a physical therapist, and I felt compelled to take our passion for wellness in a new direction. We envisioned a sanctuary for relaxation and healing, which led us to Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. After extensive research, we chose to open a Hand & Stone franchise because of its warm atmosphere and the robust support from the corporate team, including comprehensive training and innovative services that set the brand apart.
In 2021, we opened our first Hand & Stone spa in New York, bringing wellness to our community during a time when it was most needed. The transition from healthcare to wellness has been a fulfilling journey, allowing me to continue making meaningful connections with people while maintaining my commitment to helping members of my community feel their best. I’m excited about our plans to expand, aiming to promote wellness and relaxation to a broader audience in the future.
Why Hand & Stone? The corporate support was a key factor in our decision. From initial training to ongoing innovations in services, we felt empowered to create a unique space for our clients. Hand & Stone’s consistent focus on staying ahead in the wellness industry made us confident that we had chosen the right brand to partner with.
As we look toward the future, I’m eager to continue expanding our Hand & Stone franchise locations and positively impacting even more lives by offering a place for people to relax, rejuvenate, and prioritize their health. Opening a Hand & Stone gave me the opportunity to spread my wings and make a difference in wellness beyond my traditional career. As far as second winds go, this is one I’m proud to be a part of, and I can’t wait to see what the next years of Hand & Stone ownership hold.
